Although it is not directly on the beach, on our last day, we made it to Kool Beach Club in Mamitas Beach (for which the hotel has special rates) and it was one of the most beautiful beaches that we saw, which is an added plus to this property. The hotel is conveniently located near the main strip, and is also within walking distance of almost all transportation options. They helped us schedule our complimentary massage with Laura (who was amazing!), they gave us great tips on how to get around, and were very friendly and sweet. Everyone at the hotel was great Karen, Sebastián, Marlon & Enrique took good care of us and were always willing to help with anything we needed. Of course, if you are looking for luxury, I would suggest going elsewhere (for example, any of the resorts that are in the area) however, if what you want is to enjoy the destination and have a comfortable bed, AC and a bathroom to get ready, then this is the perfect choice. The room has perfectly adequate air conditioning, a TV, a minibar, and a safe, so for a quick visit, there's nothing else you'd need. Our room was basic, but had everything you need for sleeping and cleaning up. We were greeted by friendly and super helpful staff -as well as the adorable hotel kitty, Karmi- who got our room ready in no time (despite us being a bit early). Hotel B&B Playa del Karma proved us wrong! We arrived at the ADO bus terminal on the 5th Ave of PDC, and were able to walk to the hotel in less than 10 minutes. However, we were worried that by choosing a budget hotel/hostel, we would have to give up quality.
